Medical Team Returns

The 2010 Fall medical team was in Honduras for one week and returned to the US soil on Saturday, September 4, 2010. The team included, Viola Durr RN, Helen Reif, Bryan Shields II RN, Christie Contrereas RN, Trish Mahin, Bessie Smith RN, Donald Smith MD. Missionaries Daniel Melton, Tiffany Melton RN, Sarah Robberts, Zack Robberts all participated on the team in various ways.The rainy season in Honduras has been especially wet this year. However, the Lord blessed and the afternoon rains were not heavy. The roads were passable and only was vehicle was stuck for a short time. Over 500 patients were seen in very remote areas requiring access by four wheel drive. All the goals of the trip were met and we send out a big THANK YOU to all who prayed and gave. Our next medical team is planned for February of 2011.

Medical Team Leaves Saturday (8/28/10)

A medical made up of people from Kansas, Indiana, and Ohio, leaves this Saturday for Honduras. They will be going to small villages out in the mountains. We ask you to pray for their safety and for their ministry. They will be returning Saturday 9/4/10.

Robberts Moving to San Pedro Sula

The Robberts are moving to San Pedro Sula – today – August 10, 2010 – to work with the churches on the north coast of Honduras. Please pray for them as they make this move to help further the kingdom.

Tiffany Melton Doing Well

The Meltons had to come back to the U.S. for a short time so that Tiffany could have an emergency female related surgery. She is doing very well and they will be going back to Honduras very soon. Please continue to pray for them during this recovery time.

Daniel Melton in Court Again

Please pray with us for a new development in Honduras. It seemed the problem with the car accident had been resolved; however, it has resurfaced with a new face. Daniel Melton has been charged with criminal charges. On Monday – July 19, 2010 – he had a court appearance. Several things are unusual and it appears that corruption is involved. We need special prayer for this problem.

Robberts Back In Honduras

The Robberts are safely back in Honduras. They are living in the town of San Luis in the department of Santa Barbara. This is the property where Evangelistic Faith Missions has the clinic, the Bible institute, and one of the radio stations. Please pray for them as they readjust to life in Honduras. They will continue their work in child evangelism and with the Bible institute. There are plans for future work in Christian education.

The three travelers to Guatemala have safely returned to Bedford, IN. The reports so far are that the trip went well and everybody is healthy. As more news emerges we will try to get it on the website.

Tessa Golden, Haley Survance, and Jennifer Hiles report they are having a great time in Guatemala on their school trip. So far everyone is well and healthy. They are working in the school. They do have a sight seeing trip planned and may get to go on a cable ride. The two teeanagers, Tessa Golden and Haley Survance, are reportedly anxious to try this but the adult chaperone, Jennifer Hiles, claims she will only be the photographer.

A group of three – two students and one teacher – from the Stone City Christian Academy in Bedford, Indiana have gone to Guatemala to visit and help in the school there. Please pray for them. We will give you more information as we get reports back from them on their stay. They did have delays due to the volcano erupting but so far they are safe and sound.
