God is a present help in time of need. Best of all, the church triumphant can move from victory unto victory!

We’ve had a web free week. Try it sometime, it’s refreshing except when you return again to more than 80 emails waiting for you!

Here’s some of the week’s highlights:

*  Monday afternoon we had the three students over who couldn’t come on Saturday for their cookie baking time..

*  Friday night, the ACSI (Association for Christian Schools International) regional coordinator challenged our CEBE parents to establish and guard a Christ-centered home. We had almost a full turnout from the 22 parents.

*  One of our younger boys in the Academy gave his heart to the Lord which was a wonderful testimony to the rest of our students.

*  James and Rachel will be in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, this week helping with ACE Regional Student Convention.  Remember them in prayer.

*  Also, remember Daniel and Tiffany & family as they have just a few days left to wrap things up before they return for furlough to the USA.

Have a great day and a great week! God bless.

Good Morning Las Americas…

We trust all had a profitable and renewing Lord’s Day. In our fast paced generation world wide, more than ever we need the refreshing time of fellowship with the Lord on His Day and with one another!

Maria Hunsaker was glad to have visitors this weekend from the States, part of the Smith family from Shelbyville. We had a cookout Saturday evening and enjoyed visiting with everyone.

James and Rachel are starting the “packing up process” before heading back on April 19 for furlough. Pray for them and for our national CEBE team that God will continue to give strength and wisdom as they shoulder more and more school responsibilities.

Shari and I enjoyed some encouraging times in our ESL classes this week. Two of second level girls came during break time and told Shari they had a story in English to tell one another. Their minute long dialogue was about wanting to hear about the story of Jesus – it was precious! Then they said they would give it before the whole class and it went even better for them. Wow – to see them start conversing in their second languge is amazing.

I used Travis Johnson’s props from a recent message and wore a bib and an apron when I preached at Central last Sunday. My theme was the Body of Christ and the illustration was of course on serving or being served. Like Brother Glen Reiff has always said, our folk here in Latin America think basically along the lines of the concrete not the abstract. Needless to say, I got the point across quite clearly.

Blessings of the Lord on a special week ahead for all of us!

Prayer Request for Angel Leiva

Angel Leiva, our national church president in Honduras, was robbed February 25, 2011.
When Angel and his brother returned from a service, his brother got out of the national church pickup and opened the gate when Angel lives. When he did so a vehicle pulled up behind his pickup and masked men got out and put a gun to the brother’s head and walked him down the road. Then another gunman put a gun to Angel and told him to get out of the pickup. They robbed him of all his personal valuables, threw him into a ditch, and took the truck. Angel’s brother thought the thieves had kidnapped his brother and the pickup. He was very nearly hysterical when we got back to the gate but Angel was only in the ditch and not injured. We are thankful both men were not harmed. The police are looking for the pickup but have not found it. The pickup belonged to the national church and they still owed $4,000.00 on the vehicle. Please pray that they will get it back. God is able.
