Summer is speeding by as we all scurry from one campmeeting to another. Steve Hight has been to John T. Hatfield – Greenfield and Letts camp – Indiana. Br. Manley has been to Ono Camp – PA and Don Smith to the Heartland Holiness Camp in Perkins Oklahoma. The matching fund is continuing to grow!! We are now at $97000. If we can top the $100000 mark it looks like we can slide into home plate by the deadline. Honduras is still a little unsettled and the ousted president is still making waves. We have a medical team scheduled to go down in September. We are waiting to buy tickets for a few more days in hopes they situation will stabilize more. It would be tragic to lose thousands of dollars in tickets. Please pray for this situation.

Zack and Sarah Robberts and family are in Ohio. They are working in the Candy Run Camp with the youth. They are scheduled to do a skit on at least one day so if you run into them this summer you will have to ask about that. Every year at Candy Run they usually end the camp with a giant water fight. We will have to find out if both Zack and Sarah participate in that!

The situation in Honduras is calming down and is now out of the international news. Glen and Helen Reiff had been in Tegucigalpa – the capital – when this problem arose. They went to San Luis for a few days to get out of the unrest. They are now back in Tegucigalpa. Our missionaries are safe and sound and their lives are back to normal missionary. Rex and Hannah McDowell are in San Luis to do teaching and medical work.

The Meltons, McDowells and the Reiffs are all in San Luis on the mission compound. The political turbulence in Honduras is focused in the capital and things in San Luis are quiet. As time passes it will hopefully become obvious if the missionaries should come home or go to neighboring Guatemala. It is very possible that no further problems will arise and the country can return to normalcy. We ask for you prayers.

Honduras is experiencing political upheaval and there is increasing concern for the missionaries there. Some missionaries are leaving. Currently the Meltons, McDowells (there for short term work)and the Reifs (there to releave Eric and Hannah Kuhns in Tegucigalpa) are all in San Luis. This area is removed from the primary hub of the unrest which is centered in Tegucigalpa. They are in contact with the homeland and the entire situation is being monitored almost by the hour. We ask all the EFM family to pray for their safety. We also ask you to pray for a quick resolution to this problem. So much church work has gone into this country that no doubt the Devil wants to disrupt God’s work.
