The March medical team is preparing to leave next week. Don Smith M.D. leaves on March 10, 2009 to arrange things in Honduras before the whole team arrives. The rest of the team leaves on March 14 and returns on the 21st. Please pray for their safety and effectiveness.
Steve Hight had a successful trip and meeting in the Domincan Republic. He was also able to get warmed up for a few days. He noted that while just sitting he could be sweating! He will soon be traveling to Bolivia for meetings there. Please continue to pray for his ministry and travels to the Spanish speaking countries.
The radio ministry in Honduras is 30 years old! The Don Moore family was able to be present for the 30 year anniversary celebration. There were activities centered around the radio for almost a week. We now have AM and FM in both San Pedro Sula and San Luis as well as shortwave transmission from San Luis. Our radio station in San Pedro Sula was the first Christian radio station in that city – the second largest in Honduras. Our radio station in San Luis still serves a multitude of functions beyond just regular programming. Announcements regarding families and people are placed so their families in remote areas can hear them. God has truly blessed our efforts in radio in Honduras.
